CASH and PHA are hosting a joint conference on leading transition.

This is a practical conference for delegates from primary and secondary schools across Cumbria. Each school is invited to send one delegate. The programme for the day will cover leading transition at different phases in the morning, but will then focus specifically on transition between primary and secondary in the afternoon.

Our Key note speaker in the morning is Dave Harris. He will present two sessions about the theories behind the practicalities of leading transition. He is a successful former headteacher, with many years’ experience working in and leading schools in challenging socio-economic environments. What Dave does best, is cut through the rubbish that seems to get in the way of allowing school leaders and their colleagues to see what the job in hand genuinely is. He will share his knowledge and expertise in school leadership and leading transition.

In the afternoon CASH and PHA will facilitate different workshops. The focus will be on the practical experiences of schools and children in both Cumberland and Westmorland and Furness. Our intention is to get consistency across our system so that children have the best experiences to ensure that their journey through education is successful.
