Description
Do you want to find and harvest delicious wild and traditionally medicinal mushrooms but feel concerned about accidentally killing yourself and your friends? ☠️
Never fear! Curious in Nature is here to help you develop your foraging skills to confidently distinguish the delicious from the deadly so you can gather sustainably for many seasons to come 🐌
With sound beginner’s advice, plus tips and recipies to help you get the most out of your shroomy bounty!
This Wild Adventure improves connection with wilder places by introducing and developing the skills needed to forage for edible and medicinal fungi - helping you to recognise and fully appreciate the deliciousness of wild abundance.
Wild Mushroom events include:
- Guidance to develop your plant and fungi ID skills
- Advice to spark your creativity and confidence to use wild ingredients for delicious recipes and traditional remedies at home.
- Tales from folklore to help to secure plants and mushrooms firmly in your imagination
- Guidance on books, kit and other resources to develop your foraging skills
We walk at a gentle pace, like curious snails, stopping to notice and examine the fungi we find.
The session includes a break roughly half-way through to relax and recap over a cup of wild herbal tea or cordial. At the end of the session we will go over our finds and discuss further reading and alternative sources of information.
