Charity Life Drawing Event
Come join our life drawing event in support of Leeds Hospital Charity and St Michael’s Hospice!
Whether you are an experienced artist or a complete rookie, come down to the Chain Lane Community Hub on Sunday 23rd March. All proceeds raised are in aid of the the Leeds Hospital Charity and St Michael’s Hospice.
Each session, morning 9.30am to 12.30pm or afternoon 1.00pm to 4.00pm, will be 3 hours long including breaks where refreshments will be available (subject to a nominal fee, all proceeds for charity). We hope to have a range of 'yummy' cakes to help the creative juices flow!
Room 1: Long Pose Session:
The session is broken into three periods. Initially there will be warm up poses followed by a break for refreshments. The remaining two periods will have a long pose.
It is the intention to have a SPECIAL Duo pose for the Long Pose Session in the Afternoon session
Room 2: Shorter Pose Session:
Desks and boards will be available for this session which will aim to see models with poses between 5-20 minutes. There may be limited room for easels. If you are new to art, advice will also be available in this room from experienced artists.
Tickets can be purchased individually, or if you are looking to book an all day pass, this is available at a discounted price! There is the ability to 'mix and match' rooms subject to availability.
If you can't make the event in person, don't worry! We will also be selling online tickets where you can access all sessions via Zoom link.
Why are we doing this?
Leeds Hospital Charity:
On 6 June 2023 Dominic Hartley died aged 24 from an intracerebral haemorrhage. To say this was a shock was an understatement to his family and friends. He was a much loved work colleague and so in honour of everyone who cared for him at Leeds Infirmary, his family have nominated Leeds Hospital Charity to raise funds for. His parents have written a full story as posted on Instagram @yorkshirecharitylifedrawing.
St Michael’s Hospice
To raise much needed funds for the wonderful work this local charity does supporting patients and their families through the difficult times of living with terminal illness

Thank you
This event would not be possible without the help of Julie Sweetman from Chain Lane Community Hub who kindly offered us the two rooms free of charge to help raise the funds
A big thank you to the models for donating their time, again free of charge. This event would not be possible without Richard & Ruth, David and Paul’s time and dedication.
And of course to the artists for booking tickets, donating and to those who have offered to help with baking cakes, helping with teas/coffees etc. It’s a real team effort!
