Description
Three plays written by dizzy turek & performed by Alexander Attea, Alice Wu, & Jenn Geiger. The plays involve two microphones, a karaoke machine, a pillow, a birthday cake, two chairs, & a number of other objects. The concepts explored in these plays are as follows: SOUND: the power of sounds & the stretching in space, INSTRUMENT: the beginning of life & the entering into the void, SINGING: the disintegration of friendship & the potential of forgiveness. this is a production of normal theater. Please proceed accordingly.
Venue Notes: Facility Theatre is located at 1138 N. California Ave, just south of Division in the Humboldt Park neighborhood. Metered street parking is usually possible nearby, and the California and Division buses also stop in proximity to the building. Facility is a first-floor venue with a wheelchair-accessible entrance and two accessible bathrooms. Beverages will be available at a concession stand before performances.
Note: The Puerto Rican Festival will take place one block north of Facility in Humboldt Park on June 6-9. This will make the neighborhood more crowded and lively than usual! Parking may be a challenge. Please budget extra travel time if you are seeing shows at Facility this weekend.
