Writing Workshop - June

Join us in the bookshop for a 75-minute workshop stuffed full of generative writing prompts.

Occasionally themed but not always, expect prompts to cover anything from NASA telescope photographs, to tarot cards, to somatic poetry exercises. You’ll be given a time limit for each prompt, enough for you to get words on the page, but not to overthink them too much. The aim isn’t to leave with a polished piece, but to give you a way back into your writing practice.

There’s absolutely zero pressure ever to share anything you write in these mini workshops. Come along, see what sparks your imagination, and go home with pages of scribbly new ideas.

Suitable for seasoned writers and newbies alike, all levels welcome. The prompts are designed for you to use however you'd like, whether that's for fiction, poetry, or non-fiction writing.

Your ticket includes a $2 donation to Literacy For Life, a First Nations-run charity training local people to deliver literacy classes in their communities.
