Throwing and tiles taster course

This popular workshop is aimed at adult beginners who would like an introduction to making ceramics. Its ideal for those who would like to have a fun creative experience, and to try their hand at clay before perhaps joining a longer course. It will be run by both Fiona and Chris, so everyone gets enough practical input. You will be able to make and decorate an unique set of handmade tiles using coloured slips; creating colour, pattern and texture. Each person will be introduced to wheelthrowing. Chris will take you through the basics of each stage and everyone will make a small pot each with individual support. Your pieces will be finished (pots trimmed), fired and glazed for you ready to collect a few weeks later.

Like all our courses, class sizes are limited (four only in this workshop) so lots of hands-on support. The price is inclusive of booking fee, materials, preparation, glazing and firings.
