General Terms and Definitions

• "Dabke Roots Organiser" denotes any volunteer involved in organising Dabke Roots events.
• "Participant" ("you", "your") signifies any individual taking part in a Dabke Roots Workshops.

Age Limit

• Participation in Dabke Roots events is restricted to individuals aged 18 and above.

Agreement to Terms and Conditions

• All participants are required to adhere to these terms and conditions. Noncompliance may result in removal from events or expulsion from the Dabke Roots community.

Health and Safety

• Participants bear full responsibility for any injuries or health issues incurred during Dabke Roots events. This includes injuries stemming from pre-existing medical conditions.
• Dabke Roots Organisers are not medically trained and cannot assess participants' fitness for events. By accepting these Terms and Conditions, you confirm your good health and fitness for participation.

Risk Acknowledgment

• All participants engage in Dabke Roots events at their own risk.
• Dabke Roots assumes no responsibility for the actions of participants during events and does not provide liability coverage for participants

Etiquette and Conduct

• Dabke Roots is an inclusive and welcoming space. Our etiquette and code of conduct rules have been written to ensure the club and its online forums continue to be a great atmosphere for Dabke Roots Organisers and participants.

• By being part of Dabke Roots, you agree to reasonable behaviour towards our venues, Dabke Roots Organisers, and other participants of the club.
• Dabke Roots maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy toward offensive or inappropriate behaviour, including but not limited to intimidation, verbal abuse, physical violence, sexual/physical/verbal harassment, and disrespectful conduct. This conduct covers both online and offline behaviour.
• Dabke Roots reserves the right to impose penalties for breaches of conduct, including temporary or permanent event suspension, participant expulsion, removal of messages from WhatsApp group, and removal of participants from the WhatsApp community.
• Complaints or reports of unacceptable behaviour should be directed via direct message to our Instagram account @dabkeroots or to an admin of the WhatsApp community.

Photography 

• Dabke Roots may capture photos and videos during events for promotional use. By attending our events, you consent to the use of these materials by Dabke Roots, our affiliates, sponsors, and third-party vendors. Let us know in advance if you do not wish to be photographed or filmed. If we have published any content to social media and you have not previously expressed to a member of our team that you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, the content will remain uploaded subject to the discretion of the Dabke Roots Organisers.

Bag Drop and Lost Property

• Dabke Roots and any premises providing bag drop facilities (e.g., cafes, restaurants) are not liable for loss, theft, or damage to items. Participants leave their belongings at their own risk, and we recommend not leaving valuable items unattended.

Personal Information

• To facilitate communication and event coordination, Dabke Roots may collect and process personal information, including telephone numbers given by consent of event attendees.
• Your personal data will not be shared with any third party for any reason. We would only do so in the future with your permission.

You have the right to withdraw your consent and request the removal of your personal information from the WhatsApp group via direct message on Instagram to @dabkeroots.

Limitation of Liability

• These terms and conditions do not limit or exclude Dabke Roots' liability for (1) death or personal injury caused by negligence or the negligence of its personnel or agents, (2) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or (3) any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded by applicable law.

Changes to Dabke Roots Terms & Conditions

• Dabke Roots may revise these Terms and Conditions, and participants will be notified of any changes, which will take effect immediately.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

• These Terms and Conditions, as well as any disputes or claims arising from them, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
