MXR is a no code real time 3D engine designed for performers, designers, and visual artists who want to create responsive visuals without scripting. This bootcamp is the perfect way to jump in and immediately start building visuals for concerts, LED walls, XR stages, virtual production, and immersive art installations.

What is this bootcamp about?

This bootcamp guides you through the complete MXR workflow. You will learn how to import assets, build scenes, animate elements with live control signals, and output visuals that perform smoothly in real time. MXR founder Eric Wagliardo will guide attendees through getting started with this powerful new creation tool. By the end of the workshop, you will have a performance-ready MXR show file. No coding experience is required.


What is the class like?

This is an in-person workshop at dadaLab. Expect hands-on building, guided instruction, demonstrations, and time to troubleshoot and explore with your instructor. The class environment is collaborative with a mix of artists, musicians, coders, and creative technologists.

Class size is limited to support personalized instruction.

Are there any requirements?

  • PC with Windows 10 or 11
  • At least 4 GB RAM
  • Recommended RTX 2080 GPU or higher
  • A Steam account
  • MXR PRO will be provided as part of your workshop fee!

Meet your instructor!

Eric Wagliardo is a multi-disciplinary artist and founder of MXR and &Pull. As a professional dreamer, his work spans 20+ years working with a wide range of artists like Barry Can’t Swim, Childish Gambino, Anyma, Gorillaz, and Flume. He’s also led projects with brands and tech companies like Google and Stella Artois. MXR recently powered 30+ hours of real-time content on the Quasar stage and an XR showcase at Mutek Japan that blended projection mapping and Magic Leap headsets.
