Evening Programming
On November 22nd and 23rd, DANCÆ will present the following three choreographic works that explore the tension between our primal instincts and the pressures of modern life.
Eoin Robinson’s "Origin's End," highlights the often numbing patterns of daily life and the pursuit to free ourselves from them. The second piece, "ESSAY___TH003," performed by Caterina Politi, looks at the intersection of human experience and artificial creation, asking audiences to reconsider the boundaries of art, science, and ethics. The performance by Ballet Sur real merges ballet with electronic music. Their production of “Daer” challenges us to confront what has been lost - our connection to emotion, nuance, and instinct - while simultaneously examining the paradoxes placed upon us by contemporary society and the fascination with club culture. Together, these three pieces invite the audience to question what we sacrifice in the relentless pursuit of contemporary ideals.
