Welcome to PASSAGE by Dance Meets Tantra—your intimate, tender, playful and deeply connected alternative for crossing into 2025.

If you’re anything like us, you’re looking for something different this New Year’s Eve.

Do you ever feel pressure on New Year’s to ‘just be happy’? Tired of the usual scene of people chasing superficial highs? Imagine instead an evening crafted to honor the full spectrum of what the New Year can bring.

At PASSAGE, we make room for your full humanity while building coherence, intimacy, and depth in a warm gathering of friends and like-minded community.

Our evening unfolds in three parts:

1. Opening & Building the Container: We’ll begin the night by building a beautiful container and then move into a series of practices and rituals to invite embodied authenticity and connection.

2. Temple* Flow into 2025: After we build coherence and connection we’ll move into a temple that will hold us all as we cross the threshold into 2025. We’ll play, dance, and honor the turning of the wheel in a structured, yet spacious temple that invites freedom, depth, and heartfelt expression. DJ Maya Light will be weaving the musical journey.

*Note: when we invoke the word ‘temple’ we do not mean play/sex party. We are referring to a co-created, prayerful space that welcomes a wide range of your humanity, including all emotions and sensations, with the intent of connecting to the divine. Certainly, there will be space to explore your erotic and ecstatic desires…however, it’s not our aim to be sexual or for you to necessarily “play” with others. Please read on for more about sexuality in the container.

3. Nourish and Reflect: After midnight, we’ll enjoy delicious nourishment prepared by our co-host Enki, creating a space to settle, connect, and share reflections. This grounding experience will help close the evening in warmth and community as we step into the new year together.

PASSAGE is an opportunity to:

໑ Dance your dreams awake with incredible music by DJs like Maya Light

໑ Meet and connect with a like-hearted community committed to stepping into 2025 with purpose, depth, and aliveness

໑ Be held in a ritual container that honors every part of you—your tenderness, your magic, your fear, and your joy.

໑ Explore eros in a highly attuned and permission-full space

We are brimming over with our full f*ck yes to be offering the Dance Meets Tantra version of New Year’s Eve to the Bay Area community.

About Dance Meets Tantra

Originating in Boulder, CO, Dance Meets Tantra has been traveling nationwide (and soon internationally) offering sold-out monthly immersions that explore the intersection of conscious dance forms with relational intimacy, somatic attunement, ritual & ceremony, and kink & shadow work. It is truly a transformational journey and an emerging body of work dedicated to empowering communities to relate with more authenticity and aliveness while creating safer spaces where individuals can embrace their wholeness—both the light and the dark—while cultivating a collective consciousness that is profoundly greater than the sum of its parts.

Dance Meets Tantra is also a movement. Across the country, we’ve seen an outpouring of yearning, love, and passion for conscious dance to evolve—embracing a fuller spectrum of human expression, and creating safer ways to welcome deep vulnerability and eros.

Perhaps you’ve been feeling this call– for dance to become more attuned and embrace a wider spectrum of expression, and for tantra to be more embodied, playful, and vibrant. You instinctively know that something extraordinary happens when embodied movers gather with full permission to be alive, to connect, and to share their magic.

This is Dance Meets Tantra.

A Note on Tantra

For us, tantra is the practice and art of being fully alive. Our intention with Dance Meets Tantra is to support individuals in deepening their love, respect, and relationship with themselves, others, and the earth. We believe that dance, eros, and tantra are fundamental aspects of living a vibrant, empowered, and creative life. Through various explorations, we aim to liberate creativity and life force, inviting you to step into your fullest expression.

A Note on sexuality

Dance Meets Tantra certainly embraces a sex-positive culture, however, our containers do not focus on sex, sexuality, or connecting in sexual ways. Our boundary in this container is no lingering or intentional genital touch.

The reason we include sexuality in the boundaries of our container is for more room to be authentic and to be human (since sexuality is an important part of being human), rather than any goal or outcome of sexuality.

For more details on sexual energy and our approach, please visit our [FAQ] (https://www.dancemeetstantra.com/faq).
