Some knowledge arrives through others, passed hand to hand, name to name, carried in a quiet "you should ask them." Other understanding is built slowly through lived experience, shared spaces, and the people we come to rely on.

Kinetic Threads explores the invisible networks that connect us. Through six original contemporary dance works, choreographers and performers trace how information, care, memory, and insight move between individuals and communities, creating pathways of trust, exchange, and belonging.

Audience members will become part of this network throughout the evening. Before the performance, guests will have the opportunity to anonymously contribute a question for fellow audience members. Questions might be practical ("How do you remove a bleach stain?"), personal ("How do you make friends as an adult?"), or community-minded ("Do you have an eye doctor you recommend?"). Between dances, audiences will be invited to move to a new chair, experiencing each work from a different vantage point. At their new seat, they may encounter a question left by another audience member and have the opportunity to respond, creating a living web of shared knowledge, perspective, and connection throughout the performance.

Without a single spoken word, Kinetic Threads reveals how we come to know, not only through what we learn, but through who we learn it from. Through movement, the body becomes a map of the relationships, referrals, conversations, and communities that shape how we move through the world.
