Service Days are a great way for kids and their families to help the animals at Dane County Humane Society without having to commit to a regular volunteer shift. Participants will get the opportunity to earn service hours while engaging in helpful volunteer activities at the shelter. We host these "pop-up" events when our educators don't have any other events booked, so sometimes we will plan them with short notice.
Service days will typically last 1.5 hours and provide opportunities for participants to learn Dane County Humane Society, gain animal knowledge, build relationships with other animal lovers, increase comfort around animals, and have fun! Each day includes volunteer activities to help the shelter and time with our classroom animals.
