DCHS: After Dark
Multiple dates and times
Dane County Humane Society, 53718
Description
DCHS: After Dark is a fun opportunity for kids ages 7 to 12 to join us at the shelter during the evening! This event will occur once a month on Fridays from October to May, and will feature a different theme and activities each month and will operate like a shorter version of Camp Pawprint.
These programs will always run from 4:30-7:00pm and will include a tour of our adoptable animals, time with our classroom animals, and time to eat dinner or snacks. Other activities and lessons will change depending on the theme.
We ask that all participants come with a snack or dinner prepared because the events will run during dinner time.
Upcoming Dates & Themes:
Friday, April 25th (4:30-7 PM)- Feline Frenzy
- Calling all cat lovers! This month, we will meet some special cat guests, play a cat-themed trivia game, and more!
Friday, May 9th (4:30-7 PM)- Pups & Pizza
- Join us for the last After Dark of the season! This month is all about dogs; we will be spending time with education dog, Friday, and each participant will get to adopt their own mini stuffed pup and make your own custom doghouse to take home. We will be ordering pizza for participants this time, so bringing your own snack or dinner is not required.

Allergy Information
DCHS utilizes peanut butter for animal enrichment throughout the shelter, and therefore is unable to provide a peanut-free facility. We are unable to make accommodations for children with severe peanut allergies. DCHS also uses hay in various places throughout the shelter, especially in areas where critters are housed. Education animals may come in contact with hay.
