Crossing the Threshold.

Step into the pause and prepare for what comes next.

It’s time for the second event in The Natural Network wheel. Following the sell-out success of Harvesting Wisdom, we’re delighted to invite you to Crossing the Threshold on Friday 31st October for a morning for business reflection, strategy and renewal, held in the regenerative landscape of Four Acre Farm.

Where our first event was about celebration and gratitude, you're now invited to something deeper: a moment to pause, release and prepare. It’s a threshold and a time to reflect on what’s run its course, release what no longer serves and make space for fresh insight before winter’s stillness and our next gathering The Wintering in December.

The Natural Network is a collaboration between Nick Whitnell of Daring Works and Kate Forrester of Four Acre Farm. Together, we bring a rare blend of experience: Nick’s depth in commercial leadership, coaching and facilitation; and Kate’s lived understanding of natural systems, interdependence and how things truly flourish. This interconnection between business and nature, structure and flow, human wisdom and natural intelligence sits at the heart of these gatherings.

Many of us can sense that something isn’t right. We’ve drifted from our inner knowing and lost the natural rhythms that once guided our decisions. The result is burnout, disconnection and an inability to see our next step. Some seek the answer in corporate strategy off-sites and others from personal retreats but what if you could have both?

What to expect:

  • Guided reflection and structured exercises to identify what to release and where to focus next
  • Strategy and decision-making tools informed by natural cycles and systems thinking
  • Nature-based experiences to reconnect with instinct, clarity and creativity
  • Small-group conversation with peers navigating change and growth
  • A seasonal market-garden lunch to nourish body and mind
  • A 30-minute online follow-up with Nick Whitnell to translate insights into actionable next steps

You’ll leave with:

  • Clearer priorities and sharper focus for your business or leadership journey
  • Confidence in your strategic direction and the choices ahead
  • A sense of renewal and readiness for the winter season
  • Fresh energy and creativity sparked by nature and meaningful dialogue
  • New connections with like-minded peers seeking purpose and practicality

Meet your hosts:

  • Nick Whitnell – Senior business leader turned soulful strategist and founder of Daring Works. Nick helps leaders and teams navigate change, refine strategy and make decisions grounded in clarity and purpose.
  • Kate Forrester – No-dig market gardener, chef and educator at Four Acre Farm. Kate’s work regenerates soil, wildlife and community and her deep understanding of natural systems brings balance and groundedness to each session.
