The Wintering is the third gathering in The Natural Network wheel. Following the success of Harvesting Wisdom (the season of gathering insight) and Crossing the Threshold (the time of reflection and release), we now invite you to step into winter for a moment to rest, restore and rekindle your inner fire.

Together, these gatherings follow the rhythm of the year, guiding business leaders, change-makers and creative professionals through a cycle of clarity, purpose and renewal.

As winter settles and the land rests, we too are invited to pause, to step into stillness and rediscover the energy that fuels what comes next. Where our earlier events explored gratitude and release, The Wintering calls us into depth - a season for tending what remains, listening for new direction and aligning our inner rhythm with the work we’re here to do.

The Natural Network

The Natural Network is a collaboration between Nick Whitnell of Daring Works and Kate Forrester of Four Acre Farm. Together, we bring a rare blend of experience: Nick’s depth in commercial leadership, coaching and facilitation and Kate’s lived understanding of natural systems, interdependence and how things truly flourish.

This interconnection between business and nature between structure and flow, human wisdom and natural intelligence, sits at the heart of these gatherings.

Many of us can sense that something isn’t right. We’ve drifted from our inner knowing and lost the natural rhythms that once guided our decisions. Nick Whitnell – Senior business leader turned soulful strategist and founder of Daring Works. Nick helps leaders and teams navigate change, refine strategy and make decisions grounded in clarity and purpose.

Kate Forrester – No-dig market gardener, chef and educator at Four Acre Farm. Kate’s work regenerates soil, wildlife and community, bringing balance and grounded wisdom to every session.

Four Acre Farm – Four regenerative acres of market garden, orchard, meadow and hedgerows - a living example of renewal and interconnected systems.
