The Full Self.
The sun is at its highest. Are you?
It’s time for our next gathering in The Natural Network wheel. Today, most of us spend the majority of our time indoors, under artificial light, glued to screens, trying to force ideas on demand. The result is well documented - burnout, exhaustion and a persistent sense of not doing 'enough'.
This gathering is our Summer Solstice event. The Solstice is the peak of the sun's year - the longest day, the moment of maximum light, the crown of the seasonal cycle. Every culture that has ever paid attention to the natural world has marked it, usually with fire, feasting and communal celebration. It's not because something is about to happen but because something has already arrived.
Which makes it the right moment to ask: which parts of yourself have you been living fully and which are still waiting in the wings?
We spend a lot of time focused on becoming. The Solstice invites something rarer - an honest, generous reckoning with who we already are.
The group that comes to these mornings is one of the things people comment on most. CEOs sit alongside entrepreneurs. Career pivoters share a table with people who have led organisations for decades. What they have in common is not a job title or a sector but a growing sense that the way most of us work is not quite right and a belief that something better is worth building. We think that mix produces conversations you will not find anywhere else.
The soulful and the commercial are not in opposition here. They are the whole point.
During the morning you will:
- Sit in circle with a small, honest group and be properly heard, not pitched at
- Name one thing you are ready to say yes to, out loud, in good company
- Enjoy a seasonal lunch grown on the farm
Includes a 30-minute online follow-up coaching session with Nick to translate insight into action.
You’ll leave with:
- Sharper, more honest language for what you are building or becoming
- One grounded next step you have named out loud and are therefore more likely to actually take
- New connections with people you would not have found anywhere else
The Natural Network is a collaboration between Nick Whitnell of Daring Works and Kate Forrester of Four Acre Farm. Together, we bring a rare blend of experience:
- Nick Whitnell – Award-winning marketer turned sustainability strategist, coach and founder of Daring Works and The Natural Network. Nick has spent decades helping organisations find their direction and their voice. These days he does the same for the people inside them and the ones choosing to go it alone.
- Kate Forrester – No-dig market gardener, chef and educator at Four Acre Farm. Kate's work regenerates soil, wildlife and community. Her understanding of how natural systems actually function brings something to these mornings that is genuinely difficult to put into words until you have experienced it.
- Four Acre Farm – Four regenerative acres of market garden, orchard, meadow and hedgerows. A living example of renewal and interconnected systems.

Why it works:
- Stepping outside the habitual environment does something to the thinking that staying at a desk simply cannot replicate
- Being witnessed by a small group of honest, mixed peers does something that no amount of solo reflection can
- Working with natural rhythms rather than against them turns out to be one of the more practical things a leader or founder can do
