MEMORY IN MOTION

A new multimedia performance by Darkplay Theatre

Created through the Anna Lindh Foundation In Motion Creativity programme, funded by the European Union, Body and the City: Memory in Motion brings together artists from Egypt, Greece and Algeria in a unique theatrical collaboration.

A young woman travels through the Athens Metro carrying memories of another life. As the familiar world begins to dissolve into dreams, she encounters the timeless voice of Isis. Music, movement, poetry and multimedia weave together into a journey through memory, loss, hope and transformation.

Inspired by ancient myth and contemporary experience, this intimate performance invites audiences into a world where the boundaries between reality and imagination slowly disappear.

Featuring Egyptian performance artist Kholoud Essa Yassen, together with Asma Tayeb Zeghdani and artists from Darkplay Theatre, this special one-night performance is the culmination of an international artistic residency exploring movement, storytelling and shared cultural memory.

Μια νέα πολυμεσική παράσταση της Darkplay Theatre

Δημιουργημένη στο πλαίσιο του προγράμματος Anna Lindh Foundation – In Motion Creativity, με χρηματοδότηση από την Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση, η παράσταση Body and the City: Memory in Motion φέρνει κοντά καλλιτέχνες από την Αίγυπτο, την Ελλάδα και την Αλγερία σε μια μοναδική θεατρική συνεργασία.

Μια νεαρή γυναίκα ταξιδεύει με το Μετρό της Αθήνας κουβαλώντας αναμνήσεις μιας άλλης ζωής. Καθώς η πραγματικότητα μεταμορφώνεται σταδιακά σε όνειρο, συναντά τη διαχρονική φωνή της Ίσιδας. Μουσική, κίνηση, ποίηση και πολυμέσα συνθέτουν ένα ταξίδι μνήμης, απώλειας, ελπίδας και μεταμόρφωσης.

Εμπνευσμένη από τον αρχαίο μύθο και τη σύγχρονη εμπειρία, η παράσταση προσκαλεί το κοινό σε έναν κόσμο όπου τα όρια ανάμεσα στην πραγματικότητα και τη φαντασία διαλύονται.

Με τη συμμετοχή της Αιγύπτιας performer Kholoud Essa Yassen, μαζί με καλλιτέχνες της Darkplay Theatre, η παράσταση αποτελεί την κορύφωση μιας διεθνούς καλλιτεχνικής φιλοξενίας αφιερωμένης στην κίνηση, την αφήγηση και την κοινή πολιτισμική μνήμη.
