DAY I: REIGNITING CLINICAL SUPERVISION: BECOMING A BETTER SUPERVISOR

Nothing matters more than seeing that you have created a real positive impact on another person.

2. Clients.

Not only are you able to help your supervisees work through difficult and challenging cases, you are also a conduit to therapists' professional development.
Except that traditional clinical supervision has NOT improved client outcomes, and has not shown to actually help therapist improve in their work, despite self-reports of benefit from exchanges in traditional clinical supervision.

This workshop is for clinical supervisors and for those who aspire to be a really good one.

• Re-design the way we conduct clinical supervision, so as to raise the floor of your supervisee's effectiveness.
• How? By using a two-prong framework of coaching for performance and coaching for development

DAY II: THE INNER AND OUTER LIFE OF A THERAPIST: A DAY OF REFLECTION AND RENEWAL

We live in two worlds. One on the outside, one of the inside. 

This workshop is specifically designed for psychotherapists from various professional backgrounds who are in the helping profession.

This day-long retreat style workshop serves as a space for reflection and renewal, caring for those who care.

Learning Aim:
Renewing the identity and integrity of being a therapist, while providing a pathway forward in personal and professional development

Who is it for?

• Clinical Supervisors
• Clinicians, Practitioners from various professional backgrounds (psychology, psychiatry, counselling, social work)

ABOUT THE TRAINER

Daryl Chow, MA, Ph.D. (Psych) is a counselling and clinical psychologist and trainer. He is a senior associate of the International Center for Clinical Excellence (ICCE). He devotes his time to training therapists worldwide and research on the development of expertise and highly effective psychotherapists, helping practitioners become deep learners and improve client outcomes.

He is the author of several articles and books. Daryl and colleagues published the first ever study on deliberate practice in psychotherapy, a frequently cited study and a nominee for “most valuable paper” of 2015 by American Psychological Association.

In 2025, his study on Improving Responses to Challenging Scenarios in Therapy appeared in APA’s Editor’s Choice, regarded as “...the best science in each area of our discipline, reflecting science that is exceptionally important, impactful, and deserves additional visibility for the whole field.”
