DataEngBytes Sydney 2026 — Day Zero

Day Zero runs the day before the main DataEngBytes conference and brings together two separate events under one roof: a hands-on technical workshop for practitioners, and an intimate leadership forum for Heads of Data, CTOs, and engineering executives.

You don't need to attend the main conference to join either of these events. Both are open to anyone in the ANZ data community.

ClickHouse Workshop A free, hands-on half-day workshop for data engineers and architects who want to get practical with ClickHouse. Places are limited to keep it genuinely interactive.

Leaders Forum A small, invitation-style half-day event using a World Café roundtable format — no slides, no pitches, no panels. Structured around conversations that senior data and engineering leaders actually want to have, under Chatham House Rule so people can speak freely. Seating is capped deliberately.

📅 Monday, 27th July 2026 📍 The Collider @ Tech Central, Sydney

Ticket Descriptions

ClickHouse Workshop — Free

A free, hands-on half-day workshop exploring ClickHouse in practice. Designed for data engineers, analytics engineers, and data architects who want to move beyond the docs and get their hands on real queries, schema design, and production patterns.

Places are strictly limited so the session stays interactive. Register now to hold your spot — we'll send prep details closer to the date.

No purchase necessary. Just show up ready to work.

Leaders Forum — Early Bird (AUD $549 inc. GST)

Save $150 on the full price when you register early. Early bird pricing is available for a limited time and is not guaranteed to last.

The DataEngBytes Leaders Forum is a half-day event built around conversation, not content delivery. No keynotes, no slide decks, no sponsor pitches — just a small group of senior data and engineering leaders working through the questions that actually matter.

The format is World Café: rotating roundtable discussions, each seeded with a real question from the community. Everything said in the room stays in the room — Chatham House Rule applies throughout.

Designed for: Heads of Data, VP Engineering, CDOs, CTOs, and senior engineering managers leading data-intensive teams.

Places are capped. A light approval process is in place to make sure the room is the right fit for everyone.

A tax invoice will be issued automatically on registration. Group pricing available for 3+ people from the same organisation — contact info@dataengbytes.com.
