Dark Data: Why What You Don’t Know Matters

Join us at the Data Ethics & Society Reading Group on Tuesday 4th June at 13:00-14:00.

The event is FREE to attend, but places are limited so please sign up to reserve your spot! (Registration closes on Friday 24th May at 17:00)

We will be discussing Dark Data by David Hand:

"In the era of big data, it is easy to imagine that we have all the information we need to make good decisions. But in fact the data we have are never complete, and may be only the tip of the iceberg. Just as much of the universe is composed of dark matter, invisible to us but nonetheless present, the universe of information is full of dark data that we overlook at our peril."

Please note that we have secured a discount from the publisher, details of which will be shared in your signup confirmation.

See our GitHub page for more information.
