Here's a few testimonials from past participants:
"In my case the workshop was ideal because while I was happy with what photography had done for myself, but I knew I could be doing more with it, and needed the guidance and support from a leader and group of people who have been there or are at the same stage themselves. I now have a clearer idea of the first steps I need to take to market myself, and a number of ideas to follow up on rather than dream about. The support after the workshop is a group of people who motivate, give feedback, hold others accountable, and share their successes in hopes of inspiring others." - Neil Bates
“To say I had high expectations of the EVOLUTION Workshop would be an understatement. I had resigned from my ‘day job’ to re-commit myself to my portrait business...it was scary but exhilarating and I knew I needed to give it my all to ensure no regrets – I needed time, space, ‘bandwidth’, and some guidance. The same week I gave notice I saw Dave’s post about EVOLUTION and immediately wrote him to see if I could snag what I knew would be a coveted spot. I went in expecting: excellent tutelage, generous sharing, good people (‘cause Dave attracts ‘em!), and to leave with hopefully some clarity on how to move forward. I left the workshop with new friends, clarity, inspiration, ideas, and a general sense that: with good intentions, and work ethic, and authenticity, and care I could succeed. EVOLUTION surpassed my expectations by miles and, every day since, I have been using what I learned/gleaned/absorbed from the workshop to move my business forward in ways that feel true and good and meaningful." - Lori Maloney
"Before Dave’s EVOLUTION Workshop I wasn’t sure which direction to
take my photography business. Where do I go from here? Running a
business is complicated. Do I know enough? Do I have the right approach
and skills?
I learned to develop a business plan around my passion.
I learned that hard work trumps everything. But instead of being
overwhelmed by big ideas, I learned to start with some key decisions and
tasks that move me forward to my next phase. And I learned I am not
alone. All of us in the workshop are now surrounded by a creative crew
of decent people to help us move our businesses forward.
"This workshop provides the opportunity and environment to gain his insights and creative process that he has experienced over his career. The material introduced by Dave is a deep dive into the business of photography, the need to continually seek creative opportunities and how to use the power of critique to advance your progress. This workshop is designed to organize your thoughts and move you forward all while being a decent human being!. An excellent opportunity for photographers of any skill level looking to move their passion to another level. Evolution is a workshop not to be missed." - Ian Proctor
