Week 7 - Bergamot Week (Programming Skills), for kids entering grade 4-8
Mon Jul 22, 2024 9:00 AM - Fri Jul 26, 2024 3:00 PM
North Davis Elementary School, 95616
Description
The Programming Skills camp is for students with robotics experience, who are interested in improving their programming skills. There will be no focus on the mechanical side of robotics. Instead, students will be taught to implement the ROBOTC programming language. This camp will culminate with a series of programming challenges that require the use of sensors, motor encoders, and advanced programming logic. This camp will not teach programming skills using the standard robotics game, but rather by completing autonomous-based challenges.
SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION:
A limited number of scholarships are available based on need.
If
you purchase a DYR RoboCamp registration with need-based scholarship,
we'll email you to ask how you qualify. You may be asked to show that
you receive, or qualify for, one or more of the following or other
need-based financial assistance programs:
CalFresh SNAP
CalWorks
County General Assistance
Medi-Cal
PG&E CARE
Refugee Cash Assistance
Women, Infants and Children (WIC)
When registering, choose the "scholarship" ticket type instead of the "regular" ticket type. Within 3 days after you register, we will send you an email with a link to a short Google Form asking about your participation in the above programs. You will have 5 calendar days to respond to the email, after which we will notify you whether you qualify and have been selected for a need-based scholarship.
If we do not receive your form within 5 days, or if it is determined that none of the eligibility criteria are met, you will be offered the choice of retracting the application or paying full price for the camp (if the camp is full, you can be added to the waitlist). If we do not receive payment by the date specified, your ticket will be relinquished and the next person on the waitlist will be given that spot.

process, please contact davisyouthrobotics@citruscircuits.org and
