The Seedling camps are designed for campers entering grades K-3! Sphero Indi kits come with different colored tiles, each color tells the Indi robot what motion to do. Campers will use these tiles to "program" the robot and finish the challenges! The kit inspires imaginative, play-based learning by empowering students to learn the basics of coding, solve problems, and nurture computational thinking skills. The camp will also feature fun science experiments for campers to participate in. Campers will work in pairs and participate in end-of-the-week robotic challenges!

SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION:

 A limited number of scholarships are available based on need.

If you purchase a DYR RoboCamp registration with need-based scholarship, we'll email you to ask how you qualify. You may be asked to show that you receive, or qualify for, one or more of the following or other need-based financial assistance programs:

CalFresh SNAP
CalWorks
County General Assistance
Medi-Cal
PG&E CARE
Refugee Cash Assistance
Women, Infants and Children (WIC)

When registering, choose the "scholarship" ticket type instead of the "regular" ticket type. Within 3 days after you register, we will send you an email with a link to a short Google Form asking about your participation in the above programs. You will have 5 calendar days to respond to the email, after which we will notify you whether you qualify and have been selected for a need-based scholarship.

If we do not receive your form within 5 days, or if it is determined that none of the eligibility criteria are met, you will be offered the choice of retracting the application or paying full price for the camp (if the camp is full, you can be added to the waitlist). If we do not receive payment by the date specified, your ticket will be relinquished and the next person on the waitlist will be given that spot.
