About Anatoliy Vyacheslavov

After studying Saxophone in his homeland of Ukraine, Anatoliy travelled all around the world as part of the show band aboard the Hanseatic Cruise ship, playing big show tunes as far north as the Arctic Circle and right down to the Antarctic too!

In 2001, he moved to the UK and, in addition to performing live, became a session musician. His time on the road and in the studio saw him performing and recording with many artists, including Cat Stevens, Suzi Quatro, Nick Heyward (Haircut 100) and the legendary Geno Washington. Since then, he has been enjoying a busy schedule of performing, tutoring and recording his own material. Well known for his amazing technique and beautiful tone, we can't wait to welcome Toliy back to Dawkes Music.

About Cubano Soul

The band's 'Cubano Soul' style is influenced by the funky jazz sounds of the CTI Record label from the late 1960s to the 1980s, as well as the Latin jazz interpretations of popular standards by artists like Ray Barretto and Poncho Sanchez. Their music is also inspired by bands and musicians ranging from 'The Crusaders and Grover Washington to modern groups like 'Soulive' and 'Lettuce'. Groove is the driving force behind 'Cubano Soul'. 'For those in the know, the Pocket is the Flow'!

Expect to hear tunes made famous by artists such as Donny Hathaway, Grover Washington, Sergio Mendes, Ray Barretto, Deodato, Stanley Turrentine, Cannonball Adderley, Eddie Harris, Mongo Santamaria, Gerald Albright, Gato Barbieri, and Freddie Hubbard, all featuring the passionate and fiery tenor sax of Toliy Vyacheslavov.
