Preston Cummins - Live @ Dawkes

Our new series of live gigs at Dawkes are designed to let you enjoy leading UK musicians in a comfortable and enjoyable environment. Join us as we welcome saxophonist, Preston Cummins to the Dawkes stage for an afternoon of entertainment and Jazz.

About: Preston Cummins

Preston Cummins is a baritone saxophonist in the London area. Originally from Poway, California, he grew up in the San Diego/LA jazz scene where he learned under and was mentored by many prestigious musicians including Daniel Jackson, Jim Weiss and Bruce Babad.

Preston earned his Bachelors of Music Education from the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas, where he played in the University of North Texas Lab Bands, as well as multiple big bands. He has been an educator since leaving North Texas, teaching both in state schools and privately.

Professionally, he has played with Richie Cole, The Temptations, David Hallum and many more. He has played with numerous big bands, including Dallas Jazz Orchestra and Pecos River Brass Big Band. His most recent project is forming and leading his own combos, Mulligan’s Revenge and Mr PC. 

Preston brings his project Mr PC to the Dawkes stage for an afternoon of exciting jazz played by some of the best musicians in London.

Seat Allocations

Each ticket holder will be allocated a seat, so please book groups under one booking so that you can be seated together.

Refunds

All sales are non-refundable. If the event is rescheduled, all purchases will be honoured for the next event date. If you cannot attend the event, you may transfer your purchase to another person. If the event is cancelled, all purchases will be refunded in full.

Getting Here & Parking Info

We have 30 free parking spaces, including two spaces at the front of the building for Blue Badge holders and two electric charging points. Extra on-street parking is available after 6 pm and on Sundays.

Trains run regularly to Maidenhead from Reading and London Paddington. We are a five-minute taxi ride/twenty-minute walk from the station.
