Jerry Weldon Quartet

Sat 28 Feb 2026 7:30 PM - 10:00 PM GMT Dawkes Music, SL6 8BT

Join us at Dawkes Music for an evening of world-class jazz with the Jerry Weldon Quartet! We’re excited to welcome one of New York’s most respected tenor saxophonists to the Dawkes stage. Weldon brings a huge, warm sound, deep swing, and decades of experience. Whether you’re a hardcore jazz fan or just love great live music, this is going to be a special night. To top off the evening, we'll be joined by Greek street food specialists, Alla Greek - so make sure you arrive hungry!

The Band:

Jerry Weldon – Tenor Sax
Hugo Jennings – Piano
Stuart Barker – Bass
Mark Taylor – Drums

About the Artist

Veteran tenor sax man Jerry Weldon joined the legendary Lionel Hampton Orchestra in 1981 and has worked with dozens of jazz luminaries over the past three-plus decades. In 1990, Jerry became a founding member of Harry Connick Jr.’s big band and was seen daily as part of the house band on HARRY, Connick’s daytime variety show which aired from 2016–2018.

Today, Jerry can regularly be found gigging - both as a leader and a sideman - at top clubs in the New York area and beyond.

“When it comes to tenor saxophone sounds, Jerry Weldon has one of the biggest, and warmest, around.”
