The Independent Horror Society has teamed up with the Dead Northern for a killer night of indie horror in York. This is DEAD INDIE.

First up on the agenda we'll be showcasing an extended selection of short films that have been pulled from the IHS's wildly popular Indie Film Showcase 2025 lineup, which premiered in June in London.

There will be an interval halfway through the screenings to give you a chance to grab some refreshments and digest what your eyeballs have been subjected to. Finally after the screenings you'll have a chance to hang out with fellow fans and filmmakers!

Whatever your horror niche, there will be something there for you – from depressed monsters and cursed waterways, all the way through to possessed household electronics and creepy folk horror. What more do you need?

So please join us at the Micklegate Social in York for an incredible night of fun, meeting new friends, networking, and of course – celebrating the very best indie horror around!

General Entry is £10 with limited tickets available

• 7.00PM - Introduction from Independent Horror Society
• 7.05PM to 8.40PM - IHS Indie short film showcase part 1
• 8.40PM - Break
• 9.00PM - IHS Indie short film showcase part 2
• 10.30PM - Mixer in Micklegate Social till late

*Concessions tickets are for full-time students, persons aged over 60, and CEA card holders. Discounted tickets will require the pass holder to carry valid student ID/Identification/CEA card on their persons for the duration of the event, to be checked by staff and volunteers.
CEA card holders can opt for an additional entry ticket on the door for any additional valid persons attending the event with them.
