Dead Northern descends into the underground this May for a night of suffocating terror and nerve-shredding horror with Phobia Fright Night: Claustrophobia.

Join us from 6:30pm on Saturday 30th May 2026 as we take over The Den at Micklegate Social, York for an intense double feature guaranteed to leave you breathless.

We begin at 6:30pm with Neil Marshall’s modern horror classic The Descent - a brutal and relentless nightmare of darkness, isolation and what lurks beneath.

Following a short intermission, we descend even further at 8:00pm with the found footage cult favourite As Above, So Below, a claustrophobic journey through the terrifying catacombs beneath Paris where every tunnel leads closer to hell.

Expect underground atmosphere, horror community vibes, themed extras and two of the most anxiety-inducing films ever made.

General Entry is £12 for the event

*Tickets are non refundable. Concessions tickets are for full-time students, persons aged over 60, and CEA card holders. Discounted tickets will require the pass holder to carry valid student ID/Identification/CEA card on their persons for the duration of the event, to be checked by staff and volunteers. CEA card holders can opt for an additional entry ticket on the door for any additional valid persons attending the event with them.
