Join us for the very first Pigeon Paint Off, a live art competition taking place at the stunning riverside venue, City Screen Picturehouse in York on 12^th September.

The event starts at 12pm. Doors open from 11.30am.

Eleven brilliant artists will go head-to-head in two, one-hour rounds to create a unique pigeon-inspired piece of art, and you can be there to watch them in action and see their piece created from start to finish. Scroll to the bottom of this page to view our fantastic artists!

After all the artists have completed their masterpieces, you will vote for your winner and decide which artist will be the very first Pigeon Paint Off Champion!

In addition to voting for your favourite artist, you will have the opportunity to bid on your favourite pigeon masterpiece. The highest bidder wins. You can own your very own unique piece of pigeon art while donating to help the pigeons.

Following the auction, we're also hosting a Pigeon Social and a Pigeon-themed Pub Quiz, with prizes to be won! Check out our other ticketed event for full details. The Social starts from 6pm, the pub quiz from 7pm.

We will also be selling and raffling some snazzy bird-themed arts and crafts in the foyer at City Screen. You can browse the goodies, have a drink or something to eat at the lovely riverside venue and view the exhibition.

Pigeon Paint Off is a creative fundraising event. Please come along and support the wonderful artists who are generously donating their time and talent to help us raise funds for Columba Sanctuary and Advocacy for Pigeons. Bring your pennies and donate to a worthy cause.

Throughout the event, we’ll be sharing why pigeons need us to advocate for them due to the challenges they face in their everyday lives. Pigeons are amazing creatures and they deserve our respect and compassion.

The Pigeon Paint Off live competition is a ticketed event, however the exhibition is free to visit, so even if you can't make the live competition, you can still come along, see the artwork and support the artists and the cause.

As this is a small fundraising event, tickets are limited. If you have purchased a ticket but can no longer attend, please email Dead Toe Society as soon as possible so we can cancel your booking and arrange a refund.
