Celebrating 12 Years of Deafland Camping & Caravanning Club

We are proud to announce that Deafland Rally No.12 will take place in Summer 2027. Following 11 successful rallies, we’re back for another unforgettable weekend of fun, family, friendship, and community.
We warmly welcome Deaf, hard of hearing, and hearing families with Deaf or hard of hearing children, as well as hearing children of Deaf or hard of hearing parents, of all ages.

We also welcome hearing people who are learning British Sign Language (BSL), including Level 1 learners. Deafland Rally is a fantastic opportunity to practise your signing, build confidence, make new friends, and immerse yourself in the Deaf community while developing your BSL skills in a friendly and supportive environment.

Grass Pitch

Bring your tent, caravan, campervan, or motorhome and enjoy our spacious rally field.

Glamping – Blue Bell Tent

Enjoy a comfortable glamping experience in one of our spacious Blue Bell tents.

Choose the option that suits you:

Fully Furnished – Includes furniture, airbeds, duvets, and bedding. Please note that kitchen equipment is not included. You will need to bring your own cooking equipment, crockery, cutlery, food, and drinks.

Unfurnished – Includes an empty Blue Bell tent only, allowing you to bring your own camping equipment and set up your stay just the way you like.

Hotel or Airbnb

You are welcome to stay in a nearby hotel or Airbnb and visit the Deafland Rally throughout the weekend.

To access the rally site and take part in the activities, you must:

• Book the number of nights you wish to attend.
• Purchase an event ticket for each person attending.
• This helps us manage site capacity, control site access, and ensure everyone is covered by our event safety procedures.

Grass Pitch - Tent / Campervan / Caravan / Motorhome Pitch (9m × 9m)

From £30 per night

Includes:

• 1 grass pitch (9m × 9m)
• 1 adult ticket (includes access to all activities and the evening party hall)
• 1 vehicle (must be parked in the designated car park to help keep the camping field safe for children to play)

Additional Tickets

• Adult (18+) £15 per night
• Child (4–17) £10 per night
• Under 4 FREE
• Dog £2.50 per night

Glamping – Unfurnished

From £350 for 4 nights

Includes:

• Glamping bell tent
• 1 adult ticket (includes access to all activities and the evening party hall)
• Electric hook-up extension lead/splitter

Please Note:

• This is an unfurnished tent. No furniture, beds, airbeds, duvets, bedding, chairs, tables, or kitchen equipment are provided.
• You must bring all your own camping equipment, including sleeping bags or bedding, chairs, tables, cooking equipment, and kitchen utensils.
• You must bring your own 16A electric hook-up (EHU) lead (e.g. a 15m RCD-protected 16A motorhome/caravan camping electric hook-up cable). This is not included.
• Dogs are not permitted inside the glamping tents.

From £450 for 4 nights

Includes:

• Glamping bell tent
• Full furniture
• Airbeds with duvets and bedding
• Electric hook-up extension lead/splitter

Please Note

The following items are not included with the fully furnished glamping tent:

• Kitchen equipment
• Crockery, cutlery, mugs, and glasses
• Pots, pans, kettles, and cooking appliances
• Fridge or cool box
• Food and drinks
• Towels and personal toiletries
• Camping chairs and outdoor table
• BBQ or cooking stove
• 16A electric hook-up (EHU) lead (please bring your own)

Please bring everything you need for cooking, eating, and your personal comfort during your stay.

• Dogs are not permitted inside the glamping tents.
• Please leave the tent, furniture, and equipment clean and in good condition. You may be charged for any loss or damage.

• Extra airbed with duvet and bedding set: £15 per night

How to Book

1. Complete the online booking form.
2. Pay in full or choose a payment plan.
3. Once paid, your QR code ticket will be emailed to you.

PayPal Credit (0% over 4 months) may also be available.

Booking Per Night Policy

When completing your booking, please ensure that the number of people and nights booked accurately reflects everyone staying on your pitch.

On arrival, our team will verify your booking details. If more people or additional nights are found than were originally booked, you will be required to pay for the additional guests and/or nights, plus an administration fee before entry is permitted.

Providing accurate booking information helps us manage site capacity, maintain safety, and ensure all attendees are correctly registered and covered by our event procedures.

Arrival & Departure

• Check-in opens from 12:00 noon on Thursday.
• Please do not arrive before this time unless agreed with the organisers.
• All campers must vacate the site by 1:00 pm on Monday.

Site Rules

• Quiet Hours (9 pm–7 am)
• Maximum speed 5 mph
• Approved EHU equipment only
• Please recycle where possible
• Lost property at the Information Point

Lost Children

If a child becomes separated from their parent or guardian:

• Contact the Admin Team or the nearest Team Leader immediately.
• Alternatively, speak to any member of staff wearing an orange, green, or pink high-visibility vest, who will assist you straight away.
• Do not post details or photos of the missing child on social media until they have been safely reunited with their parent or guardian.
• If your child is found, they will be cared for by the Admin Team until their parent or guardian arrives.

Lost Property

• Any lost property should be handed to or collected from the Rally Information Point.

Health, Safety & Accessibility

Emergency

In an emergency, contact the nearest Team Leader, Volunteer, or Admin Team member immediately.

If there is an immediate danger to life, call 999.

If you are Deaf, hard of hearing, or have a speech impairment, we strongly recommend downloading the 999 BSL app before attending the rally. The app allows you to contact the emergency services in British Sign Language (BSL) via a qualified interpreter.

Please download and register the 999 BSL app before you arrive at Deafland Rally, so it is ready to use if you ever need it.

Accessibility

We are committed to making Deafland Rally accessible for everyone. If you require any additional support, please contact us before the event so we can do our best to assist.

If you have accessibility requirements or need extra assistance during the rally, please speak to a member of the Admin Team on arrival.

For Deafblind attendees and people with Usher syndrome, a portable ground-standing light may be available. Please visit the Admin Team on arrival if you require one (subject to availability).

Medical Information

If you have any medical conditions, disabilities, or additional support needs, please:

• Tell us on your booking form. We will then email you for any further information we may need.
• Inform a member of the volunteer team when you arrive.
• If you have difficulty walking or use a wheelchair, please email us in advance at dlrallyevents@gmail.com We will do our best to allocate you a pitch or parking space closer to the main facilities, subject to availability.

This helps us provide appropriate assistance should you need it during the event.

All medical and personal information will be treated confidentially and used only for your safety and wellbeing during the rally.

Site Facilities

The following facilities are available on site:

• Fresh mains drinking water
• Rubbish disposal points
• Chemical toilet disposal point
• Toilets
• Hot showers (limited availability during busy periods)
• Hot water
• Washing-up area for pots, pans, and cooking equipment
• Milk vending machine (fresh raw milk available to purchase)

Please help us keep the facilities clean and tidy for everyone by leaving them as you found them.

Dogs

Dogs are welcome at Deafland Rally.

Please follow these rules:

• Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.
• Owners are responsible for their dogs at all times.
• Please clean up after your dog immediately and always carry dog poo bags.
• Dogs are not permitted inside the hall/bar or the children’s play area.
• Please use the designated dog walking area shown on the event site map.
• Any owner who fails to clean up after their dog or does not keep their dog under control may be asked to leave the event.

Fires & BBQs

• Fire pits and open fires are strictly prohibited.
• If we find anyone using a fire pit or open fire, they will receive a warning and be asked to extinguish it immediately. Failure to follow this rule may result in removal from the event.
• Barbecues and disposable BBQs are permitted, provided they are used safely and responsibly.
• Please ensure all BBQs are fully extinguished before leaving them unattended or disposing of them.
• If you see anyone using a fire pit or open fire, please report it immediately to a Team Leader, Volunteer, or a member of the Deafland Admin Team.
• Help us keep everyone safe by following these rules at all times.

Smoking & Vaping

Smoking and vaping are permitted only in designated outdoor areas.

Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside any buildings, marquees, glamping tents, toilets, shower facilities, or children’s activity areas.

Please be considerate of other attendees and avoid smoking or vaping near children, entrances, queues, or busy gathering areas.

Dispose of cigarette ends and vaping waste responsibly in the bins provided. Help us keep the rally site clean and safe for everyone.

Photography & Drones

Our official photographers and videographers (wearing white high-visibility vests) will be taking photos and videos throughout the event.

Drones may also be used to capture aerial footage of the rally.

A photography and video consent section is included as part of the booking process.

If you do not wish your face or your child’s face to appear in photographs, videos, or on our social media channels (including Facebook, Instagram, and our website), please email dlrallyevents@gmail.com before the event with the name(s) of the person(s) concerned.

Our team will make every reasonable effort to respect your request. However, please be aware that it may not always be possible to avoid capturing individuals in crowd or wide-angle photographs.

Respect & Safety

Drugs Policy

• Illegal drugs are strictly prohibited.
• Anyone found using, possessing, or supplying illegal drugs will be removed from the event and permanently banned.
• The police will be informed where appropriate.
• If one person in a group seriously breaches the event rules, the organisers reserve the right to require the entire group staying on the same pitch to leave the site. If necessary, security staff and/or the police may escort the group from the venue.

Bullying & Harassment Policy

We have a zero-tolerance policy towards bullying, harassment, intimidation, or abusive behaviour of any kind, including:

• Verbal abuse
• Offensive or inappropriate sign language
• Intimidating looks, gestures, facial expressions, or threatening behaviour
• Physical abuse or violence
• Online or cyberbullying
• Discrimination based on disability, race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic

Please report any concerns immediately to the Security Team, Admin Team, Team Leaders, or Volunteers.

Anyone found bullying, threatening, intimidating, or harassing others will be removed from the event and may be permanently banned.

Weather

Deafland Rally is an outdoor event, so please come prepared for all weather conditions.

We recommend bringing:

• Waterproof clothing and sturdy footwear
• Warm clothing for cooler evenings
• Sun cream, sunglasses, and a hat for hot weather
• Plenty of drinking water to stay hydrated
• Suitable bedding and camping equipment for changing weather conditions

Please secure tents, gazebos, awnings, and any loose items in case of strong winds.

The event will go ahead in most weather conditions unless it is unsafe to do so. Any important weather updates will be shared on our website, Facebook, Instagram, and by email if required.

Insurance

Attendees are responsible for arranging their own insurance, including:

• Travel insurance
• Camping insurance
• Vehicle insurance
• Caravan, campervan, or motorhome insurance
• Personal belongings insurance
• Public liability insurance (where applicable)

Deafland Rally accepts no responsibility for any uninsured loss, damage, theft, or claims. We strongly recommend that all attendees ensure they have appropriate insurance cover before attending the event.

Event Changes

The organisers reserve the right to amend or cancel the programme, activities, entertainment, timetable, prices, facilities, or other event arrangements where necessary.

While we will make every effort to avoid changes, circumstances beyond our control (including adverse weather, safety requirements, venue issues, or unforeseen events) may require alterations without prior notice.

Any significant updates will be communicated through our website, email, Facebook, Instagram, and the Rally Information Point during the event.

Data Protection

We respect your privacy.

Your personal information will be kept secure and treated confidentially. We will only use your information to manage your booking, communicate with you about Deafland Rally, and provide event updates.

Your personal information will never be shared with third parties except where required by law or where necessary to deliver the event (such as payment processing or emergency services).

You have the right to request access to, update, or delete your personal information at any time by contacting us.

Refund Policy

Please ensure you are able to attend before purchasing your ticket.

• Tickets are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled by the organisers.
• If the event is postponed, your ticket will automatically be transferred to the new date.
• Tickets may be transferred to another person with prior approval from the organisers.
• Any refund requests in exceptional circumstances will be considered at the organisers’ discretion.
• Booking fees (if applicable) are non-refundable.

Refund Protection (XCover)

When booking your ticket, you may have the option to purchase XCover Refund Protection.

If you purchase XCover, any refund claims must be made directly through XCover and are subject to their terms and conditions.

Deafland Rally cannot approve, assess, or process XCover claims.

If you do not purchase XCover, the standard Refund Policy above applies.
