Step into the Glasshouse (Isle of Wight Biosphere Festival)

Wed 1 Jul 2026 12:30 PM - 2:15 PM The Green Barn, PO41 0XN

What if the way you experience where you live could change, just by how you pay attention?

Brought to you by Debs Stott and set inside The Glasshouse at The Green Barn, this group workshop invites you to encounter the Island by exploring your relationship with it.

You notice where your attention lands: the light moving across the space; the safe feeling of being inside, while life outside moves and flows. You notice the subtle, almost invisible boundary between. The space starts to work on you. You become more aware of how you are responding, how your attention moves, and how that shapes your experience of where you are.

Maybe this is not just about the Glasshouse? This space mirrors how you relate to the Island itself and you no longer feel limited by the boundaries of the Island. This workshop is an invitation to explore your inner and outer worlds at the same time, and to experience where you live rather than simply consume it.

You may leave with a memory of what it felt like to be both safe and spacious at the same time, and also a sense that this way of seeing can stay with you.

Taking place on Wednesday 1st July at 12:30pm, with limited spaces for this 2-hour workshop.

An immersive listening and moodling experience in a living landscape

Who is this for?

This is for you if you feel a desire to reconnect with the Island in a different way.

You might love where you live, but feel slightly disconnected from it, or unsure how to experience it beyond the everyday. Or you may be curious about how your inner world and your surroundings shape one another.

This is for anyone drawn to the idea of moodling in a living landscape, and exploring the subtle space between being held and being open.

Do I need to prepare anything?

No preparation is needed. Just bring yourself, something to make notes if you wish, and a willingness to notice what is happening both around you and within you.

What can I expect?

  • An immersive group workshop in and around The Glasshouse and The Pod at The Green Barn
  • A slowed-down, attentive atmosphere shaped by light, space and a rural environment
  • Guided activities to help you notice the subtle boundary between inside and outside
  • Time to explore how your attention moves, and flows, what catches your attention
  • A shared experience

What will I leave with?

You may leave with a strong sense of having experienced something, rather than simply learned something.

  • A memory of what it felt like to be both safe and spacious at the same time
  • A clearer sense of how your inner world and your surroundings are connected
  • A shift in how you relate to the Island - not just as somewhere you live, but something you have a relationship with.

And perhaps most importantly, a feeling that this way of seeing doesn’t stay in the Glasshouse - it can stay with you in your everyday life.
