How might our changing climate affect everyday life in Britain – including our food, health, security, economy and future? And what can we do about it?

Everyone is welcome to the free screening of this eye-opening 50-minute film exploring some of the biggest challenges facing the UK in the coming years – and what might be done to tackle them. It's based on evidence presented by leading experts to MPs.

Featuring contributions from personalities such as Jennifer Saunders and Deborah Meaden, it presents a compelling analysis of challenges we're likely to be facing in coming years and some of the solutions that exist.

This is more than a film screening. It's an opportunity to hear different perspectives, and share your own thoughts or questions, about what these challenges could mean for our community and our future.

We'll be joined by local residents with first-hand experience of some of the areas covered in the film, who will help get the conversation started, including:

  • Commander Rob Forsyth, former Royal Navy nuclear submarine captain.
  • Councillor Gareth Epps, Oxfordshire County Council, cabinet member for transport
  • Dr Louise Ringrose, public health physician.
  • Dan Desmond, former climate advisor to Al Gore, (subject to confirmation).
  • Mark Stay, head grower, North Aston Organics

Our chair for the evening will be Al Kitchen, former director of the Low Carbon Hub.

Whether you're concerned, curious, sceptical or simply want to find out more, you're very welcome.

Come along, watch the film and join the conversation. No specialist knowledge needed.

Bring along your friends and family and encourage your parish representatives to attend the even too.
