Drinks reception and showing of the People's Emergency Briefing for Parish Councillors

Councillor Epps warmly invites you to join fellow parish councillors for a drinks reception ahead of a screening of The People’s Emergency Briefing, followed by an opportunity to watch the film alongside members of the local community.

Drinks and canapés by Gregg Brown, of CookSchool

The People's Emergency Briefing is 50 minute film summarising a briefing presented to parliamentarians in Westminster during November 2025. It runs over reports covering potential impacts of changing UK weather patterns in areas such as national security, food supply, health and the economy. Featuring contributions from personalities such as Jennifer Saunders and Deborah Meaden, it presents a stark and compelling analysis of challenges we're likely to be facing in coming years.

After the film scheduled for 7 pm, we'll be having discussions helped along by some local residents who've had front line experience of the some key cornerstones of UK life covered in the film

These include:

• Commander Rob Forsyth, former Royal Navy nuclear submarine captain.
• Councillor Gareth Epps, Oxfordshire County Council, cabinet member for transport
• Dr Louise Ringrose, public health physician.
• Dan Desmond, Environmental Technology Expert, retired
• Mark Stay, head grower, North Aston Organics

Our chair for the evening will be Al Kitchen, former director of the Low Carbon Hub.
