Dalhousie Kenneth C. Rowe Management Building, B3H 4R2
Description
On Saturday, May 4th and Sunday, May 5th , join us at the GenAI Hackathon – a weekend dedicated to using Generative AI to answer the ultimate question: How can we use Generative AI to better understand the ocean?
This Hackathon invites students and recent graduates to come together for a weekend of hackathon fun! Participants will have two days to develop and present a GenAI project using ocean data. You’ll have the option of one of three streams to work in: text data, image data, or sound data.
Tentative Schedule (subject to change):
On May 4th we kick things off at 10:30am with an introduction presentation featuring guest speakers. Spend the day with us and build your teams, grab lunch, and start working on your projects. On May 5th the doors open at 10:30am, we will provide the fuel to get your team going to the end of the day! Presentations take place at 3pm and judges will pick the winners. Prizes include free tickets to the Dalhousie AI Symposium on May 9, the opportunity to present your idea at the Dalhousie AI Symposium, and a cash prize!
Participants must be a current part-time or full-time student of an academic institution in Atlantic Canada or have graduated from one of these institutions in the past 12 months, and must currently be living in Canada with an active Canadian bank account.
Set sail for fun - We can't wait to see you there!
