Explorations in printing - gel plates

Try your hand with print-making using gel plates during this relaxed and experimental session.

Experiment with colour, textures and botanicals to create layered prints on paper and tissue paper. Following a short introduction to the principles of pulling prints from gel plates, you will become absorbed in blending your own layers of colour, creating marks and shielding off areas of the plate to generate interesting patterns in paint. Your results will be great for collage or framing as pieces of art in their own right.

This session is designed for adults, but older children are welcome to attend with a participating adult.
