Wild Creations Summer Art Club
Join Wild Creations this summer at Hunsdon House on Osler Road, where children between 4-11 can create artworks, explore the gardens, play outdoors and make new friends. There will be picnic lunches in the garden, storytelling under the trees, garden sketching, nature bingo and water explorations.
The summer art club runs from 10 am to 2:30 pm each day.
Week 1 is Monday 3rd August to Friday 7th August
Week 2 is Monday 10th August to Friday 14th August
Ages 4-11 years
What will we be doing?
Every day will be a different mix of engaging activities, using natural materials and designed to promote mindfulness and sharing amongst the children. Examples of what we have planned are:
- nature treasure hunts
- leaf and bark rubbings
- flower pressing
- weaving using sticks and wool
- clay creatures
- pebble painting
- watercolour techniques
- stick sculptures
- mini fairy gardens
- giant collaborative murals
What will children experience?
Open-ended art creativity which will foster independent creative choices; guided explorations of colour and texture to awaken observational curiosity; quiet mindfulness drawing both inside and outside; development of practical creative skills and achievement of creative challenges.
