Botanical Drawing and Printmaking

This workshop offers participants an exploration of botanical drawing & dry-point etching, including techniques in applying colour. 

Led by artist teacher Helen Edwards, students will investigate natural forms through observational drawing, develop drawing & expressive mark-making skills, & learn the complete dry-point etching process. Building upon these foundations, participants will experiment with Chine collé & the addition of blocks of colour to enrich the overall composition. The course fosters both technical understanding & creative freedom, guiding each participant toward a collection of refined, layered botanical prints.
