Weekly Pottery - Saturdays

Come and spend a relaxing and sociable afternoon with clay in the company of adults, developing and practising techniques in hand-building with a range of clays, slips and glazes at your disposal. This is a mixed ability class and all levels are catered for.

For beginners, Frances will guide you through some of the core techniques of pottery hand-building and the longer session is ideal for those who want to learn the basics of making coil, slab and pinch pots, as well as using clay to build simple sculptural forms. 

For those already with some pottery skills, or fired up with inspiration from what you have seen elsewhere, you are able to develop your own pieces with guidance and support from Frances. Alternatively, you are able to join in with others to focus on a particular technique. More experienced potters are welcome, too. 

In all cases, your work will fired and returned a few weeks' later for you to glaze as you choose. Firing and glazes are included in the fee in most cases, however larger pots may incur additional charges.

Book a full course of 5 sessions for £160 or take one of the available drop-in slots for £35 for a single afternoon of pottery. If you would like to visit us beforehand, come along to one of the other stand-alone pottery sessions we have.
