Description
Supporting your students: a workshop on the Laboratory Scientist Degree Apprenticeships at Manchester Met
Teachers and careers advisors, join us for an informative event showcasing the Laboratory Scientist Degree Apprenticeship, a fantastic opportunity for school leavers interested in Chemical Science and Bioscience. This programme, in collaboration with over 60 employers across England, offers a unique pathway into the science industry.
You will be introduced to the University's Apprenticeships Team, our academics, and a selection of our employers and apprentices. They will share insights into the programme, what it is like to be an apprentice, and the impact they have on their organisations.
Our Laboratory Scientist team was honoured with the Royal Society of Chemistry's Team Excellence in Higher Education Award in 2023, recognising our inclusive teaching practices and significant impact in training future scientists. Niki Kaiser, chair of the RSC Education Prizes Committee will present this prestigious award to our team during the event.
There will be an opportunity to ask questions and to network with attendees. Refreshments will be provided throughout the day.
Manchester Met is a leading provider of degree apprenticeships, rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted. Partnering with over 600 organisations across 17 programmes, the University offers apprentices the opportunity to earn while they learn, developing the skills that employers need.
