The Delaware Barristers Association is proud to host the 2022 Louis L. Redding Benefit & Awards Gala at the DuPont Country Club on Friday, June 17, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. This year’s celebration will honor distinguished members of Delaware’s court, bar, and community for their work, contributions and commitment to social justice and equality for all. The Gala will also highlight Juneteenth and its historical and cultural significance. Please join us for an evening of celebration, remembrance, and dancing!
The Barristers will recognize and honor the following individuals for their exemplary leadership, commitment, and contributions to the community and legal profession:
George E. Evans, Esquire, as a dynamic and progressive leader who has tirelessly sought to improve and facilitate the administration of justice for all, will receive the Thurgood Marshall Award. In addition to his impactful legal career, Evans played a pivotal role in founding the Delaware Barristers Association in 1993 and has continued to be a guiding light for the Association over the years.
Judge Diane Clarke Streett, as a dynamic member of the judiciary who demonstrates a commitment to the highest ideals of ethics, scholarship, and justice for all, is the recipient of the Judicial Profile in Excellence Award. Prior to her appointment to the Delaware Superior Court, Judge Clarke Streett served as the New Castle County Register of Wills and the City Solicitor for the City of Wilmington in addition to other prominent roles.
Each ticket will have a $2 processing fee.
