Weekly group lessons for children from 4yrs onwards

Term dates?
Start Tuesday 14 April 2026 and finish Sunday 26 July 2026 (included).

No group lessons:
* During half term w/c 25 May 2026
* On Saturday 04 July 2026

14 Weeks of lessons (except for the Saturday groups which have 12 weeks of lessons)

Where?
Reed's School boasts 3 indoor courts, 3 outdoor hard floodlit courts and 12 artificial grass outdoor courts.

Which group to book?
Children are divided into age groups however once the course has started the level of each child will be assessed and if necessary will be moved to a different ability group. Drop us a message if you're not sure which group to select for your child.

What to bring?
Children should bring a water bottle, their own racket, wear comfortable (layered) clothing and non-marking trainers when playing indoors. Please ensure items are labelled; all lost property will be donated to a local charity at the end of term. Please don't bring any food or snacks containing nuts to the lessons. Please let us know should your child not have their own racket yet as they are welcome to borrow one from us for the first lesson.

What happens when it rains?
All our outdoor lessons are delivered  on our all-weather courts but should it be too wet, icy or windy we will move our sessions on to the indoor courts. If for any reason we need to cancel our lesson  our lead coach will notify you by text message and/or email. We try to give you as much notice as possible but usually a message goes out around 1 hour prior to the start of the lesson. You will receive a full credit when we cancel a lesson.

Indoor lessons?
We are very lucky to have access to 3 indoor courts all year round for our coaching sessions!

Invitational tennis?
All our sessions are currently open to all but we will be working towards a tennis pathway for all our talented players once we are up and running,

Important site information:
- Site speed limit: 10 mph
- No dogs permitted on site
- Please park in the designated areas near the courts
- Parents should remain courtside or stay in their car at all times
- Visitors should not walk across the wider school site and must remain within the designated activity areas
- All visitors must follow site guidance and remain appropriately supervised while on school premises

FAQ:
- For safety reasons parents are not allowed to be on the courts during lessons (unless your child in unsettled or when you're called in by the coach). Parents are of course welcome to stay and watch sessions should they wish
- Sorry we're not setup to accept childcare vouchers
- We can organise a trial lesson at £14.50. We still need your child on the register so do contact us with their name, age and which group they would like to try.
- We have a small selection of demo-rackets, let us know if your child doesn't have their own racket yet and they can borrow one from us for the first lesson.
- The booking menu only shows 1 space, you can only book 1 child at one time.
- You can change your child to a different course day once the term has started, depending on availability.
- There's never a dull moment, we also offer private lessons and run holiday camps throughout the year.

We encourage our players to play more than once per week and offer 10% discount on a 2nd course booking for the same child. Please contact Martine Heussen to receive an online discount code. Please contact us to discuss any additional bookings.
