Local Movie comes to the Big Screen in its home town: Exciting opportunity to see as soon as this movie hits the big screen - a 'moving' WW1 Drama, produced as a collaboration that included local Black Hangar Studios.

Filming locations: In addition to utilizing the facilities at Black Hangar studios in Lasham, Alton, the production shot extensive exterior and field scenes  nearby at Chawton House

Accolades: The film premiered on the festival circuit in 2025, picking up awards such as Best First Feature at the Kingston International Film Festival (KIFF) and Best Actor (for Bradley James) and Best Story at the Boston Film Festival.

Supporting local community and charity:  Dementia-friendly Alton and Films in Alton are very pleased to have the opportunity to work alongside the team at Black Hangar Studios, in bringing this important movie to our local screen just ahead of the annual Remembrance events.  Screening the film over two consecutive Sundays in October allows us to promote the opportunity to more film-goers!

For every ticket sold (tickets are £9.00 and can be brought in advance on line or on the door on the night), £2.00 will be donated to the Poppy Appeal at our local Royal British Legion.  A full bar will be available from 19:00 for your enjoyment of the evening and we hope to have both the Director and Producer available after the show to take your questions.
