Creating Immersive Learning Experiences
Lead Facilitator : Dr Rob Weale
This interactive session explores how immersive learning approaches* can create rich learning experiences that engage students both on and off campus. Using ThingLink we will showcase how to design interactive, media-rich environments that place students in authentic contexts - perfect for problem-solving, decision-making, and experiential learning. The session will highlight practical ways to scaffold learning through branching scenarios, visual storytelling, and guided exploration.
This session offers hands-on ideas to transform your teaching and support deeper student engagement.
* For the purpose of this session Immersive Learning is defined in the broadest possible terms to include (but not be limited to); problem-based learning, scenario-based learning, gamification, applied learning, experiential learning and simulation – all approaches which seek to situate learning in the real-world of experience through the use of digital technologies, approaches and/or resources.
