In collaboration with Bupa Dental Care | Free CPD Event
The Menopause Conversation is an intimate, CPD-focused evening exploring menopause and perimenopause from two important perspectives: how it affects us as dental professionals, and how it can affect the patients we care for.
A panel-led conversation, not a lecture
Our panel will bring together expert medical insight from a doctor, alongside women in dentistry who are experiencing perimenopause or menopause, or have already been through it.
The discussion will be led by the panel but opened up to the room, creating space for questions, shared experiences and honest conversation.
We’ll explore:
• Perimenopause and menopause: what is actually happening?
• Brain fog, fatigue, sleep disruption, mood and confidence
• The impact on clinical work, leadership and decision-making
• Relationships, family life and identity
• How hormonal changes can affect oral health and the patient experience
• Recognising when menopausal symptoms may be relevant to the patients we treat
• How dental professionals can communicate sensitively and support patients appropriately
• Creating more supportive workplaces for women navigating menopause
This is about understanding menopause both as healthcare professionals and as people.
And yes, we’ll be feeding you well…
Because good conversations are always better over good food.
We’ll be serving a beautiful selection of canapés, with everything from tandoori and jerk chicken to fresh prawns, vegetarian mini quiches and savoury bites, followed by brownies, mini lemon tarts and fresh fruit.
Come hungry. We’ve got you covered.
