Daydream Nation #12.01 - Birthday Fest!

It's our Birthday !!!

Join us at The Rum Shack, Glasgow, on Sunday 16th August from 3pm for a special one day 'festival' celebrating 2 years+ of Daydream Nation.

For this event we will be bringing a whole new lineup of independent, experimental and DIY animation and film to the screen, and platforming the amazing artists and directors making them – with live performances, Q&A, and closing with an outdoor projection of selected works.

We will begin at 3pm, with curated screenings in two parts of short animated and DIY films from a diverse mix of local and international artists and film makers, both emerging and established, and run through into the evening. Full lineup TBA soon!

Q&A with Edinburgh based and internationally acclaimed filmmaker Jenny Jokela, and leading filmmaker, curator and animation archivist Edwin Rostron.

Live performances from Susannah Stark and Genevieve Dawson with experimental live animated visuals from Daydream Nation founders and artists Karolina Glusiec and Jamie Temple.

Closing out the day we will have an 'animated mural' – an outdoor projection of selected animated work on the side of the tenements above The Rum Shack, and viewable from the surrounding streets.

We are super excited for this special Daydream Nation, and can't wait to welcome you in.

Tickets are £10 for this one, however we aim to make our events as accessible as possible and we will offer reduce entry for those less able to pay. Please contact us for this :)
