Air Arts Workshop: Figurative Sculpture - Human Form (4-Wk Course) - Simon Watson -*OPEN TO JUCD STAFF WITHIN THE NHS
This workshop is open to all staff who are a part of Joined Up Care Derbyshire who ALSO work within the NHS. Organisations listed below.

This four-week course with sculptor Simon Watson gives you the chance to create a figurative human sculpture from start to finish. Across the sessions, you’ll learn how to build an armature, sculpt the form using different materials, and apply finishing and painting techniques. Ideal for anyone looking to develop their skills over multiple sessions. This course takes place over the course of four weeks with one, two hour workshop per week. Please note this course costs £35 and includes access to all four workshops. Workshops cannot be booked individually. General workshop information for all sessions: No art experience required, and all materials are included.
This event has been created for UHDB employees and staff from associate organisations as part of Air Arts’ ongoing commitment to supporting the wellbeing of UHDB staff.
Designed specifically for staff working across the five sites of the University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust, the workshops offers a space to pause, reflect and reconnect through creativity and community.
Each workshop is funded by Derby & Burton Hospitals Charity from donations and fundraising received from supporters.
Air Arts, the charity's arts programme, has curated this event in close collaboration with staff, ensuring it responds directly to the needs and experiences of those who care for others every day.
A non-refundable* charge and booking fee is payable by each participant and helps to cover some of the costs of materials. This fee is a small percentage of what the cost, per person, for the workshop would be if independently booked. Additional donations are welcome but not expected.
