Are you ready to heat things up and raise vital funds for a great cause? Why not make 2026 the year you give back and truly challenge yourself?
This is your chance to walk through fire - literally - and make a real difference. A Firewalk is one of the most challenging, adrenaline-fuelled journeys you’ll undertake and it’s exactly as it sounds: a barefoot walk over red-hot embers, measuring 600°C.
No tricks, no special effects. Just you, your bare feet, and the fire!

The charities you're supporting
This year’s Firewalk is a special partnership event between Derby & Burton Hospitals Charity and Friends of the Baby Unit (FOBU). Participants can choose to take part in support of either charity and fundraise for the cause that matters most to them.
Derby & Burton Hospitals Charity
Derby & Burton Hospitals Charity exists to support local hospitals and help make patients’ lives better. From funding life-saving equipment and research that improves treatments and outcomes, to creating more comfortable spaces and supporting wellbeing, the charity helps enhance care for thousands of patients every year.
Through donations and fundraising, DBHC helps improve hospital environments, supports NHS staff, and makes a difference where it matters most - for patients, their loved ones, and healthcare teams.
Friends of the Baby Unit
Friends of the Baby Unit (FOBU) is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. For five decades, the charity has supported the Derby Neonatal Unit and more recently the Burton Unit, raising vital funds to help care for premature and sick babies.
The charity helps provide specialist medical equipment, enhance clinical facilities, supply essential everyday items, and offer handcrafted gifts and wellbeing support to families. Since 1976, FOBU has raised more than £2.5 million for neonatal services at Derby and Burton hospitals, supporting the care of over 400 premature babies each year.
Through its continued dedication, FOBU makes a lasting impact on the lives of babies and their families, providing support, comfort and improved care during some of the most challenging times they may face.
