Festive willow scandi stars and christmas trees with Artist Katherine Brunt *OPEN TO JUCD STAFF WITHIN THE NHS

This workshop is open to all staff employed by UHDB and staff from associate organisations

Join willow Artist Katherine Brunt on this full day workshop and create two different willow festive artworks for display. During the workshop you will learn a variety of willow weaving skills and techniques to create a big 'scandi' star that can be hung on your front door or as part as indoor decorations. You will also learn how to weave a mini 50cm tall Christmas tree complete with twinkly lights and a star that you can either pop in your garden or display indoors.

Date and time: Saturday 12th December, 10:30am - 4:30pm

The cost for this is £30 per session plus a booking fee of £1.25.

General workshop information for all sessions: No art experience required, and all materials are included.

This event has been created for UHDB employees and staff from associate organisations as part of Air Arts’ ongoing commitment to supporting the wellbeing of UHDB staff.

Designed specifically for staff working across the five sites of the University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust, the workshops offers a space to pause, reflect and reconnect through creativity and community.

Each workshop is funded by Derby & Burton Hospitals Charity from donations and fundraising received from supporters.

Air Arts, the charity's arts programme, has curated this event in close collaboration with staff, ensuring it responds directly to the needs and experiences of those who care for others every day.

A non-refundable* charge and booking fee is payable by each participant and helps to cover some of the costs of materials. This fee is a small percentage of what the cost, per person, for the workshop would be if independently booked. Additional donations are welcome but not expected.
