Saturday, 16th May 2026: Derby to London: National Demo for Palestine - NAKBA 78

As Israel's onslaught and siege on Gaza continues under the guide of an apparent "ceasefire", we continue to apply pressure on the UK government to apply sanctions, end the siege and allow unlimited aid in. Let's be clear, we will not stop until we see an end to the apartheid and the right of the Palestinians to self determination without influence or interference from outside persons or states. 

Join us in solidarity of this national day of action in London to mark the anniversary of the Nakba.  

Departure Time: 8.15 am prompt. 

Departure Location: Derby - Rose Hill Street, Derby DE23 8GA - with free off street parking available in the area (excluding permit holder areas - see signage). 

Return from London 4pm, arriving back in Derby by 9pm ish. 

Holding regular protests in London have shifted public opinion, pressured councils to divest, and built a powerful movement. Huge turnouts forced media coverage, drove political debate, and strengthened community activism. They’ve shown leaders people won’t stay silent—helping turn solidarity into lasting pressure for change. Every protest adds momentum and makes it harder for the ruling class to ignore.

We must continue to act. Gaza’s crisis is worsening, public support for Palestine's right to self determination is surging, and every protest builds momentum. By showing up, we keep Palestine in the headlines, pressure leaders to act, and join a growing global movement for justice. Don’t wait—this is our chance to make change visible and undeniable.
