Before Us, Christ is a musical written by Karl Salenda and developed under the Trumpets PlayWrite Program.

In the uneventful town of Nazareth, there is a budding romance between Mary and Joseph; a pious teenage girl and a young carpenter. On the night of their betrothal, Mary is visited by an angel who prophesies that she has been chosen by God to bear His Son, Jesus. This creates a rift between Mary and her family, her community, and her betrothed.
